We’ve been getting this question pretty often, as you might imagine.
My first instinct was, “How could we NOT be open.” This is a time when those who need us, REALLY need us, and all our efforts have been directed at how to stay safe and available. But I get it, and it’s a realistic question.
Here are some of the factors that have allowed us to remain open for you:
- Chiropractic is an essential service, and as such, we were not mandated to close.
- Many people voluntarily postponed their appointments and that allowed us the time to prepare, adapt the office, and space our appointments so that we could maintain the procedures and physical distancing necessary to keep everyone as safe as possible.
- Our Technique!! I am so grateful to be practicing a technique (Activator) that lends itself so well to giving you the assessment and adjustment you need, while maintaining the required separation… so adjusting you is still possible. And then we worked out all the other little details.
As of today, Tuesday May 26, 2020, the Ministry of Health has just issued a new directive to Regulated Health Care Professionals to help us safely transition our patients into even greater access to our care. We have been doing everything to outpace your needs and maintain a safe environment as we ramp back up to full throttle… and we are ready, thanks to your ongoing help!
Thank you for washing your hands when you get here, following our lead with our special “choreography” in the office, helping us remain adequately spaced and doing it all with such grace.
In appreciation for entrusting us to serve you in the midst of all this craziness,
Dr. Katharine du Quesnay
